Park Ranger Led Walk at Purgatory Chasm

“Trek the parks with a touch of history”

Join RI State Park Rangers for a guided walk at one of the state parks on Aquidneck Island.  The hour to two hour long walks will get you moving and you will see sites connected to the American Revolution, Gilded Age, Presidential vacation homes, and geological anomalies.  

The walks are free to attend and participate, and occur rain or shine.  Please dress in comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring plenty to drink and sunscreen.  Well behaved dogs on a 6’ leash are always welcome.  Meet at 10am.

A short stroll down to view the rock formation, Purgatory Conglomeration, which gives the site its name, this site was always a favorite place to enjoy the views and catch a breeze.
