The City of Warwick, in partnership with the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM), is working on a project to improve the entrances of Rocky Point Park to enhance access, safety, and the overall visitor experience. The project focuses on enhancing the park entrances (referred to as gateways):
- Southern Gateway (City Entry): Improvements to the City-owned parking lot with a pedestrian plaza and enhanced vehicle and foot traffic circulation at the intersection of Palmer Avenue and Rocky Point Avenue.
- Northern Gateway (State Entry): Enhanced access, safety, and visibility along Palmer Avenue.
- Improved pedestrian connections, traffic flow, and overall arrival experience.
Please join us for an in-person public meeting and design workshop. Public input is a key part of this project and will help shape and guide the future of this project.
